With the ongoing COVID-19 health situation, utility systems across Metro Vancouver are under heavy strain as people stay indoors to limit the spread of the virus, so it’s important for us to be prepared to respond to plumbing and heating emergencies.
At the same time, here at Hillcrest we recognize that safeguarding the health of our customers, employees, and the wider community is essential, and we’re implementing new safety measures on service calls and in our retail store to achieve that.
Plumbing Retail Store
To limit direct contact between staff and customers, our retail store will be switching to curbside service. When you call in, we’ll check if the part you’re looking for is in stock, process payment by credit card, and help you arrange a time to pick up your part. Just before your scheduled pick up time, your part will be discreetly and securely placed on the stairs of the store where you’ll be able to collect it.
Service Calls
Similar steps are being taken to avoid contact during onsite service calls, with payments being processed over the phone and receipts being sent by email. We’ll also call in advance to ask if anyone in your home is feeling unwell or has travelled outside of the country within the past two weeks. Once our technicians arrive at your property, they’ll follow proper sterilization measures and take extra care to disinfect their tools and work areas after each service call.
Updates to our business hours and level of service will continue to be provided through our website and social media accounts, and our 24-hour emergency hotline can be called for urgent plumbing and heating repairs at (604) 879-1415.
Communities across Metro Vancouver are reeling from this unprecedented health crisis – as a family business, we’ve seen it and felt it ourselves. But together we can get through these difficult times, so whether you’re a strata owner with hundreds of tenants relying on your building, or a homeowner looking after your family, you can count on us to make sure your building is warm and your pipes are clear.
Sincerely,
The Hillcrest Plumbing & Heating Team
